Getting there & back

The start is on 29 August 2026 at 10:00 in Milan (Porta Romana). The finish is Munich — the finisher party takes place on 3 September at the 3 Mills.

Getting to Milan: the ÖBB Nightjet connects Munich and Milan directly overnight (NJ 40295/40235). Carrying a bike costs €12 and a slot must be reserved — spaces are scarce, so book early (bike max 1.85 × 1.10 × 0.60 m, wheels up to 28 inches). Alternatively, pack the bike in a special bag as luggage, or take the coach.

Leaving Munich: Munich is a transport hub — trains and FlixBus run in all directions. The same options apply for the bike: reserve a slot or carry it as packed luggage (bag with length + width + height up to 240 cm).

What to do in Milan

Milan before the start: the Milan Cathedral and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the Navigli canals with their aperitivo culture, the Porta Romana district around the start — and, with advance booking, Leonardo’s “Last Supper” in Santa Maria delle Grazie.

What to do in Munich

Munich after arriving: Marienplatz and the Viktualienmarkt, the English Garden with the surfers on the Eisbach, the beer gardens — and the finisher party at the 3 Mills.
